Making the Next Step

After having curated over one hundred and thirty exhibitions in 13 years, I now give myself pause whenever I begin thinking about organizing another exhibition. There are so many variables to consider, beginning with theories, carrying over into which artists to choose, and proceeding into what venue, what timing, et cetera. It starts in ideas and ends in logistics. I wonder sometimes if the prospect for a new exhibition is worthwhile, and whether or not there may be some other way to realize what I am trying to say. Maybe I should be writing books, getting them published, and lecturing on them instead of organizing exhibitions.
