The Next to Last Idea

As a thinker on art, there are many concepts that intrigue me. I grew up in an environment that was rich with ideas. In my adolescence I was drawn to many kinds of writing, and my family had a large library where nothing was forbidden. The types of art work I was exposed to by my family were mainly Conceptual in nature, with themes including narrative, land and ecology, architecture, anxious objects, photographic ambiguity, etc

Recent interests have included dimensionality and perception, emotional spaces created by personal issues and event-oriented contexts, our place in the natural world, absence as presence, and the character of strangeness. Further interests, still to be investigated, include the concept of a universal signifier to cross boundaries of form, and how photographic and cinematic images can transform our perception of reality
